Got it back!

My car is now back!! I was going to wait till we next met to unveil it, but I think since we have this forum I should show you a picture of the cosmetic mods I have done to the car - I can't wait to see what you think.

Ok, so that was boring.... I was joking about the mods, but nobody bit!

The car is indeed back though. New exhaust, new gaskets, s/h R34 turbos, new ECU, and a couple of other things as well. Done a couple of long test drives and it seems to be working alright so far (touch wood).

Unfortunately it turns out I can't repair my splitter without it costing silly money, so I sourced one from a place in Milton Keynes (the one shown in the pic above) - not sure whether it'll fit my brake ducts yet, but it's £300 cash on a pre-xmas deal so I might take a chance and drive down there to have a looksee.

Just got to sort out a gearbox recon, racing cat, tracking, and an oil cooler now! Spend, spend, spend....

Or just junk it and buy that lovely blue Supra

Drives very nicely now. I might be my imagination, but it almost feels like it's spooling up quicker and a lot more free-revving than before. Drove up over the Cat and Fiddle (my favourite road) yesterday, but it was a way too icy to push it hard enough to see. Few motorway blasts here and there sort of give me the impression it's back to its best again. I need to do a track day (sooooon!) to be sure though.

Sounds good, I guess it probably will spool up quicker if the housing was cracked on one of the old turbos. Trackday! Just bring it down South, myself Keith and Jetslag will give it a good shake down for you

Haha - you're on. Let's get the new year off to a flying start by planning a track day. Brands Hatch anyone? Still got Cadwell to try out too.

As the weather may be a consideration in January - what about Bedford GT? Lots of run off and cheap - Easytrack - 26th Jan £129 or 9th Feb £139 - both Saturdays

There are other dates too with MSV. Its a bit of a hike but its somewhere new?

I can only see Brands Indy in January all during the week, although there is Cadwell on Sat 19th January for £119!!

Not that I've been looking of course .......................

I know, it's sad, isn't it. Poor old bugger, I just don't know why we're so mean to him sometimes. The last track day when we saw him just sat there in that chair in the field all on his own muttering to himself with that burberry blacket draped on his knees and dribbling down his cheek. I love the guy, I really do.
